How It Works

Most stores are shipping with the right rate in under thirty minutes. The setup wizard does the first pass for you.
Install Ordlo Shipping Pro.
Upload the zip from your account or install from the WordPress admin. Activate. The setup wizard launches automatically.
The wizard writes a starter rule set.
Pick your weight unit, primary shipping zone, and two opening weight tiers. The wizard writes the rules and exits. You can build on top from there.
Add tiers, conditions, and classes
Open the shipping method inside any zone. Add tiers. Attach shipping classes. The gap checker flags overlaps and uncovered ranges as you type. The simulator on the side tells you what a sample cart would pay.
Switch debug on, run a cart, switch it off.
Real cart through real checkout. The debug notice shows the matched rate and every rule considered. When the numbers are right, switch debug off and leave the rules running.

It sits alongside them. Add Ordlo Shipping as a method inside any zone, the same way you’d add Flat Rate or Free Shipping. Existing methods keep working — you can run Ordlo Shipping next to Flat Rate during a transition and keep an eye on both.
Rules are evaluated in order within a zone. The first rule whose conditions all match returns its rate, unless a Break rule earlier in the list told the engine to stop or skip. Debug mode shows the full evaluation path for any cart.
No. The simulator runs the same evaluation engine the live checkout runs. If the simulator says £6.50 for a 2kg order to Germany, that’s what the customer sees.
A gap is a weight (or item count, or price) range that no rule covers. Without the gap checker, a 1.8kg cart can fall between your “up to 1kg” and “2kg and over” rules and either show no rate or a wrong rate. The builder highlights gaps in red as you build, so you find them before customers do.
Yes. Use Export to download the rule set as JSON, then Import on the target site. The format is human-readable — agencies often keep a canonical rule set in version control and deploy it across client stores.
Yes. Ordlo Shipping is tested against the block-based cart and checkout introduced in WooCommerce 8.x. No shortcode fallback needed.
No. Ordlo Shipping is carrier-agnostic — it calculates from your rule set, not from a live carrier API. That means it works with every carrier; it also means you set the rates yourself. For live carrier lookups, pair it with a carrier-specific plugin and let each handle its layer.
Yes. Your licence stays on your account. Reactivate the plugin and the licence reconnects from the Plugins screen Manage Licence link. Site count is concurrent active sites, not lifetime sites.
The plugin keeps running with the rules you’ve already built — your store doesn’t break. What stops is automatic updates from ordlo.io and access to priority support. Renew any time to switch both back on.
