Installing
- Download the
ordlo-downloadszip from checkout.ordlo.io. - Go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload, and activate.
Setting Up Your Downloads Library
- Plan your taxonomy first — how do you want customers to filter files? (Document Type, Product Range, Audience, etc.) Go to Ordlo > Downloads → Settings → Taxonomies and create your labels and slugs.
- Add download items — go to the Downloads post type in the admin sidebar, add items, attach files or URLs, and assign taxonomy terms.
- Embed on a page — add
[ordlo_downloads]to any page and confirm the table and filters work. - Adjust styling — go to Ordlo > Downloads → Settings → Style to match your brand.
Important
Don’t change taxonomy slugs after launch. The slug links items to their categories — changing it breaks those associations. You can rename the label customers see at any time, but not the slug.
