Site-Wide Defaults
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Minimum quantity | The fewest units any customer can add for any product, unless overridden |
| Maximum quantity | The most units any customer can add, unless overridden |
| Step / pack size | Quantities must be a multiple of this — e.g. a step of 6 means 6, 12, 18 are valid but not 7 or 13 |
| Customer notice | The message shown when a customer tries to enter an invalid quantity |
Product-Level Overrides
In the WooCommerce product editor, open the Min Max tab:
- Leave blank to inherit the site-wide default.
- Set a value to override the default for this product.
- Set to zero to remove that restriction for this product.
For variable products, variations have the same fields and override the parent product settings, which override site-wide defaults.
