Part of Ordlo Wholesale Documentation
Company accounts let a main wholesale account manage multiple staff members under a single trade relationship. Each staff member gets their own login with their own set of permissions, but all their activity is linked back to the main account.
Creating Subaccounts
The main account holder manages subaccounts from their Wholesale My Account Hub:
- Create a new subaccount — generates a new WordPress user linked to the company. The subaccount holder receives login details.
- Attach an existing user — if the staff member already has an account, the main holder can link them by email address.
Subaccount Permissions
| Permission | What it lets the subaccount do |
|---|---|
| Place orders | Add products to the cart and complete checkout |
| View account orders | See the parent company’s full order history |
| View purchase lists | Access the main account’s saved purchase lists |
| View quotes | See the company’s quote history |
| View conversations | Read the company’s message threads |
| Participate in conversations | Reply to conversations |
What Subaccounts Inherit
Subaccounts automatically inherit the parent account’s group membership — the same pricing, tax treatment, payment restrictions, shipping restrictions, and product visibility. There’s no need to configure any of this separately for each subaccount.
Order Attribution
When a subaccount places an order, it’s stored with the parent company account ID and a “Placed by” note. This appears in both admin and customer views so it’s always clear who in the company placed each order.
Removing a Subaccount
The main account holder can remove a subaccount relationship from My Account at any time. This unlinks the user from the company without deleting their WordPress account.
