Ordlo Wholesale: Pricing

Part of Ordlo Wholesale Documentation

Wholesale pricing in Ordlo works in layers. The plugin looks for the most specific price first and falls back to more general rules if no specific price is found. Understanding this priority order helps you build a pricing structure that works the way you need it to.

Price Priority (Highest to Lowest)

Priority Type of price Where it’s set
1 Customer-specific product price The individual customer’s record in Ordlo Wholesale → Customers
2 Quantity tier price The product’s Wholesale tab — price changes based on how many units are ordered
3 Per-group product price The product’s Wholesale tab, set for a specific group
4 Reusable price list Ordlo Wholesale → Price Lists, then assigned to a group
5 Base wholesale product price The product’s Wholesale tab
6 Group fallback discount The group’s settings — a percentage off when no product-level price exists
7 Default fallback discount Ordlo Wholesale → Settings → Pricing

You can always check which price rule is winning for any customer and product using the Price Preview tool at Ordlo Wholesale → Price Preview.

Setting Prices on Products

Every product has a Wholesale tab in the WooCommerce product editor. From there you can set a base wholesale price that applies to all wholesale customers, and add group-specific prices for customers in a particular group. Variations each have their own wholesale price field.

Reusable Price Lists

If you have several groups that share the same pricing — for example all your distributors get the same price list — you can create a price list once and assign it to multiple groups rather than setting prices group-by-group. Create and manage price lists under Ordlo Wholesale → Price Lists, then assign a price list to a group in that group’s settings.

Quantity Tier Pricing

Tier pricing automatically reduces the unit price when a customer orders more. For example, 1–9 units at £10 each, 10–49 units at £8.50 each, 50+ units at £7 each. The tiered price table is displayed automatically on the product page so customers can see what they’ll save by ordering more.

You can manage tier rows directly on the product, or update them in bulk using a CSV file — see Bulk Edit & Import/Export.

Customer-Specific Prices

If you have a customer who has negotiated a unique price for certain products, you can set that directly on their customer record. Go to Ordlo Wholesale → Customers, open the customer, and add product-specific prices and minimum quantity overrides for them. These sit at the top of the priority chain, so they’ll always win over group prices and price lists.

Minimum Quantities

Level Where it’s set
Group default The group’s settings — applies to all products for members of that group
Per product / variation The product’s Wholesale tab
Per customer The customer’s record in Ordlo Wholesale → Customers

Fallback Discounts

  • Default fallback — applies globally to all wholesale customers. Set in Ordlo Wholesale → Settings → Pricing.
  • Group fallback — overrides the default for members of a specific group. Set in the group’s settings.

How Prices Display

  • Wholesale price label — the label shown next to the price, such as “Your price” or “Trade price”.
  • Guest price message — the text shown instead of a price to logged-out visitors.
  • Tax display — choose whether wholesale customers see prices including or excluding tax, independently of your global WooCommerce settings.
