Ordlo Wholesale: Quotes

Part of Ordlo Wholesale Documentation

The quotes feature lets customers ask for a price on products before committing to a purchase. You respond with a formal quote, the customer accepts or rejects it, and if accepted you convert it directly into a WooCommerce order.

Enabling Quotes

Go to Ordlo Wholesale → Settings → Quotes and turn on the quote request button. You can set the button label to match your store’s tone — “Request a Quote”, “Get a Price”, or anything else.

Who Can Request a Quote

Setting Who sees the quote button
Wholesale customers only Logged-in, approved wholesale accounts
All logged-in customers Any customer with a WordPress account
Everyone including guests All visitors — guests provide their name and email when submitting

Product-Level Quote Settings

  • Enable quotes on this product — turns on the quote button even if quoting is disabled globally.
  • Disable quotes on this product — hides the quote button for this product even if it’s enabled globally.
  • Quote-only mode — removes the Add to Cart button entirely and replaces it with the quote button. The product can’t be purchased directly.

How the Quote Process Works

  1. Customer clicks the quote button on a product page.
  2. They enter quantity, an optional message, and (if a guest) their name and email.
  3. The request appears in Ordlo Wholesale → Quotes.
  4. You receive a notification. The customer receives a confirmation.
  5. The quote is automatically linked to a Conversation.

Responding to a Quote

Open the quote and: add or adjust line items, set an expiry date, add internal notes, reply through the conversation thread, and duplicate the quote if you need to send a revised version. When ready, click Send Quote — this sends a styled email with accept and reject links so the customer can respond without logging in.

Converting a Quote to an Order

  1. Open the accepted quote.
  2. Click Convert to Order.
  3. A WooCommerce order is created. The customer completes payment, or you process it directly if they’re paying by invoice.

You can also convert to a draft order first for review. Every quote can be printed or downloaded as a PDF.
